TRD Pro - Headroom Issue w/ Sunroof

I’m pretty tall at 6’6”, but I was hoping I wouldn’t have an issue in the TRD Pro with a sunroof. I had the chance to sit in a Sport model with the sunroof today and my head hits the headliner. So, that means the TRD Pro is off the table and I’ll be going for the Trailhunter instead. Really wanted the Pro, but I like the Trailhunter too. If I’m being honest, it’s probably better for what I’ll be using it for; camping and overlanding. I wish Japanese cars were more tall people friendly!

Heck at 6’ I find a lot of sunroofs I wish could be skipped. But then the idea of paying more to cut a hole in your roof doesn’t really make sense to me. It seems every mid trim & higher car though has to have one no matter what nowadays. Good luck with the trailhunter! I assume it doesn’t come with a sunroof then?

At six feet, and with the driver's seat at its highest, I'm glad that the moonroof gives me an extra inch or so before my head reaches the sliding panel. Both the 3rd gen I had and my current 5th gen.

I couldn't understand how you thought the Sun/Moon roof added headroom, until I realized you were addressing the height to glass and not with the shade pulled across. Otherwise, the headroom is less than without the sunroof as our current 4R. The roof being grey (not black) also makes the interior look brighter and bigger. (Opinion)

Unfortunately, my wife can't have the shade or glass open after melanoma problems and as she is tall, she insists on no sunroof.

that sucks since if you are looking for a higher comfort trim you are excluding them since they usually come with a moonroof as standard like the limited or platinum

I have a order in for a Trailhunter. Being six feet two inches I was relieved to find out that the vehicle doesn't come with a sun roof. Dodged that big problem!

I am 5' 6" and wish I had to deal with your problem
