Now here me out, I know it's not a True Competitor.

Yes it's a Unibody Crossover SUV, and will not match the capability of a 4runner, but the Passport will definitely be cross-shopped with the upcoming 4runner.

• Boxy design
• Off-Road aesthetics
• NA V6
• Decent Honda reliability

If Honda keeps pricing similar or lower to a 4runner, I feel like this will fit the need and be popular for average person who does not need serious off road prowess and towing.

Yeah, the Passport probably can't match the 4Runner for serious off-roading, but it looks solid for weekend getaways and camping. I dig the Passport's style, but Toyota's reliability is hard to beat. Wonder how they'll price it - that could make or break the deal for a lot of folks. Guess we'll see if Honda can tempt some would-be 4Runner buyers!

OP posted in the wrong forum. The Pilot is comparable to a RAV4, not a 4-Runner.

Make a flip up rear window, ! V6 no turbo 10 speed. Just need a 2 speed transfer case (I doubt it) and I’m in!

They're having the Press drive in Moab either last week or this week in Moab based on this video. The Passport sounds pretty capable but you can assume it will not have a 2-speed transfer case.
