Cyclical squeeling/sqeeking from front differential area between 39-50 mph. Immediately go`s away when switched into 4HI, and comes back when 4HI disengages.
Thank god I havent done a lift, tires, wheels or anything yet or Toyota would certainly blame that as the culpret. Been there done that :cautious:
I`ll get the truck in to service as soon as I can

Ok, Heres the update
Service dept were able to re-create the issue. ( chirping/squealing between 35mph & 45mph ) go`s away when H4 is engaged.
Technition found " foreign material" between axle seal and ?
Replaced 2 seals 90311-47039 & 90311-47040 Type T oil

So, If I understand your description correctly, it's only happening in in 4WD Low? Not happening in 2H or 4H?

I need to go test my 4WD ASAP.

Interesting. Foreign material could be anything other than gear oil and gasket material.

Pretty sure he means he's in 2WD when it's making the noise. 4Low probably won't be hitting 50 mph unless you've driven off a cliff lol

Sorry for any confusion. The noise only occurs in 2H ( normal driving ) The noise immediately went away when switched into 4H on the fly. Yes you can switch into 4H at 43 mph . If you are going to fast to do that, the truck will let you know.
I dont need any more detail regarding the diagnosis myself. I just wanted it documented in case there were any further issues. They told me Toyota Corporate was notified of the situation.

Well it came from Japan, so if there was "material", it would be foreign :D
