Good side by side styling comparison video of the 6th gen 4Runner vs. 5th gen. Still love the design of the 5th gen but definitely looks dated when next to a 6th gen.

Wow. That just about says it all, without even saying a word. I loved my 5th Gen until I saw the 6th Gen. Kind of similar to how I felt about my first wife until I met my second wife.
Second wife had upgrades? :)

you can see a lot of the 5G in the 6G front and rear styling, just subtle hints of differences.

outside of the front grille setup.

Well, both are still 4Runners, so they will look similar. Toyota would be crazy to stray too far from the 4Runner design.

I saw a post on another thread, it was a newer Nissan Pathfinder versus an older gen Pathfinder. The two did not even remotely look like the same model vehicle.

Wow! They are very much a completely different beast!

I think the 2025 6th gens look great on the outside :)
Not so much the inside...
  1. The mandatory black ceiling and front B(?)columns.
  2. Limited interior color options with external colors and by models.
  3. Tractor sound when pushed (it's not turbo whine).
  4. Enormous Toyota on the glovebox! (Wow guess what I bought!)
  5. The large information screen will take getting used to.
  6. Head up displays not offered, once you experience them you wonder why they are not standard.

Having only been a Tundra guy (2 generations of models since 2005) - I'm excited nonetheless since I have nothing to compare too! HA!HA! I just put a deposit down yesterday to be #2 on a waitlist for the TRD Pro Black on Black. I do agree with you on #4 - I was looking at that wondering, why does my passenger need confirmation that they are riding in a Toyota??? :) Also, no heated seats. They do a heated steering wheel but no seats?

Man, I bet you spent a ton getting to 3.0! Well worth it from the sounds of it.
You have no idea. And yes, 3.0 is well worth it.

The 6th gen is going to take over once buyer nervousness falls away.
And once people see them on the streets, in person, they will say...."I want that."

But, some old school 5th Gen owners that cannot handle this modernization, they may give you the middle finger. LOL. Just kidding.
