SR5 is also completely missing an inverter.

IMO the primary issues with it are:
Single Zone MANUAL AC
No inverter anywhere
Donut half size spare

everything else is more than manageable
Yep. If I'm being picky, I'd add heated seats and steering wheel. The auto AC is the worst part. It's been a long time since I haven't had that feature.

I put an order deposit for new SR5-PT-4WD. All 4R's we have had since 2008, SR5's, had the electric seat, DS. I expected that on the new one. No way. Canceled that, placed an order for an Everest
Premium OR-TRD-PT-4WD, non-hybrid, with options. Power seats both front.
I would like to have the sliding deck, not available for the '25's. Maybe we can install one if parts dept can get them yet.
Ou 2023 OR-Tacoma has dual air, the new 4R does not, so, we live with it. Yes, it is going to cost more, and a long wait, dealer said by 4/15-30. We are in SE, Florida.

I also wonder if they'll add in some packages after they're being made in volume. A premium package on the SR5 would solve most of these issues.

No under body armor on SR5 is another missing thing if you off-road

SR5-4WD on order here. I understood the trim differences and decided on the SR5 being correct for our 99% on road vehicle. It makes me happy keeping more money in the bank towards a new Tundra in the future.

MSRP with only the options I need. Dealer paint and interior protection was a mandatory add-on.

If I wanted all the goodies in an SUV package, I'd go Sequoia.

I'd prefer they just put a straight up market adjustment on there and skip the bullshit.

They had the cables and emergency bag. Also the chrome badge inserts along with a carpet cargo mat and an all weather as PIO’s. I got them all removed.

I was interested in a plug in Prius a year ago. Dealer did the same shit with $1000 paint protection, take it or leave it. I walked out, did not return. That was is Auburn, CA.

I wish it was more like Tesla, no BS pricing.

Not to mention the increases in the "destination fee". I do appreciate that Toyota clearly shows it in the build & price tool online, at least.

I went with the SR5 for the same reason - upcharge was just too much for what it was. All good stuff no doubt, but not stuff I really need/want. I'm happy with mine now at 1,500 miles. Most important to me is build quality and powertrain (same across all non-hybrids) and seat comfort - I like the cloth seats!
