It would be very misleading by Toyota to not include 4low in the gas version of the full time 4wheel drive limited, considering every gas limited model that was shown in videos had H4H H4L L4L.

i reached out to the dealer im working with, and from what he said he believes every 4wd 4runner will have 4 low.

i can confirm when mine comes in. if there is not a definitive answer before then

i saw this as well… there just seems to be alot of conflicting data around it though…

like i said every gas limited shown has a 4low range.. would be extremely misleading from toyota to not include it… also feels that having that much change around it seems a little odd.. not to mention the previous limiteds had 4 low

I would say that's a mistake in the online builder.

It says that the gas Limited has Full-time 4wd. That means it has a transfer case. So at the very least it would have the high range ratio of 1.00:1.

Unless Toyota is going REALLY cheap in their de-contenting, and eliminated the low range, I'd be willing to bet the gas 4wd Limited has the same two-speed Full-time 4wd Transfer case it's had for years.

agreed… if your calling it full time 4wheel drive i believe that insinuates it having a low range…

if it didn’t the. it would be “All wheel drive”

I’m pretty sure this is the same full time 4WD system since the 4th gen. It would cost more money to engineer a separate system without low range than to use the same one they’ve been using for 20+ years.

I really like the full-time 4WD of the gas engine Limited and the 4-High and 4-Low Lock gives it some nice off-road capabilities beyond the Outback Wilderness and Passport TrailSport.

I just wish there was an option for 18 inch wheels and 33 inch all-terrain tires. I’m just afraid I’m going to bash those 20 inch rims and flatten those lower profile tires getting up those Colorado jeep roads to my hiking trailheads.

I was all in on purchasing the TRD Off-Road Premium but now that it turns out the gas engine Limited has the 4 Hi/Low Lock, I’m not so sure. I really want the Full-Time 4WD for those Colorado winters but I also want those extra off-road features of the TRD Off-Road Premium. There lies the conundrum.

Great thread with lots of useful information. However, I don’t think I ever got a good answer to my original question: Can a Torsen Center Differential be added to the 2025 TRD Off-Road Premium making it Full-Time 4 Wheel Drive? I want all the features of this trim with Full-Time Wheel Drive versus Part-Time 4 Wheel Drive.
