Congrats on the sweet MSRP deal. With that previous ownership list and the TRD Pro now, to say you bleed 4Runner would be an understatement.

I know MPG isn't the point of the 4Runner's Hybrid engine, but please let us know your MPG as you put on more miles. I'd still be curious to know.
So it looks like on average right now Iā€™m getting ~19 MPG. Thatā€™s around the Denver area so my guess is the turbo is boosting a lot more at 6000ā€™ than at sea level. This is close to the fuel number I was getting in my ā€˜24 Land Cruiser as well

It's nice that the 6th gen TRD Pro actually feels special compared to the other trims. I always thought it was strange that the 5th gen Pro looked so much like the Off-Road trim.

Toyota put a lot of thought into this generation and from my point of view especially the TRD Pro

I hit up Toyota About the exhaust and they confirmed that black tips is standard. Have you heard anything from your dealer ?

Is your exhaust a TRD performance one at least ? What about the intake is it stock or the TRD one ?

Sorry for all the questions just trying to get some confirmation before we get ours. Thank You !

Yeah one of my favorite things about this gens PRO. Itā€™s actually a unique vehicle in the lineup now as opposed to being a slightly different ORP.

Sorry for all of LC comparisons.
The 6th gen 4R is a really really great update to this platform. Toyota improved on the things the majority of 5th gen owners would complain about.
Donā€™t be sorry, thanks for sharing your comparisons! Iā€™m struggling trying to decide between the two myself, so any insight is helpful. Iā€™m particularly interested to hear your thoughts comparing the two once youā€™ve had a chance to take a longer road trip, if thatā€™s your thing at all.

Toyota it seems has done a great job differentiating the two as it seems many are decided for certain on one or the other. I might be in the minority but both seem great & as different as they seem, I donā€™t have a clear winner for me.

Feel free to ask away. Stock the 4R comes with a TRD cold air intake and exhaust. It really makes a difference in the performance of the iforce max. The dealer said that they are talking to higher ups at Toyota about the exhaust tip issue. Kind of sounds like there might not be a solution. Would be nice to have but Iā€™m so happy about the 4R overall I havenā€™t been wishing it had it.

Great looking Pro! I have a question I have to ask even though I know I will likely get roasted. I am shopping Toyotas as well. I waffle between LC, 4R, and Taco. I have test driven LC and Tacos, but not 4R yet. I did, however, test drive a nice used 5th gen TRDORP (2018 with only 80k miles). I think the 5th gen is a fantastic looking vehicle and I've seen a million of them on the trails in my Jeeps and Bronco over the years. I have to say, I did not like it. It was slow, had sloppy steering, and the suspension was terrible. It wallowed all over the place and was super soft. Both my last Jeep (JLU) and Bronco (Badlands) were MUCH better ON the road. I did not expect that. By comparison, the new Tacos I have driven are fantastic and I imagine the 6G 4R is just as good. Did I just drive a bad 5G, or are the new ones just that much better?
