That's good to see. Seeems the i-Force non-hybrid has gotten a pretty good reception from owners and journalists.

SInce the 6th gen 4runner should still weigh a few hundred pounds more than the new Tacoma, should we expect that it'll get a couple MPG less?

Hard to say. It will still have better aerodynamics than a truck. I don't think it would be more than one MPG less.

Tundra and Sequoia appear to be rated the same. YMMV 🤣

That's what I was thinking. Weight and aerodynamics tradeoff perhaps.

It looks to me he was driving on fumes. Look at the gas tank indicator on the right side of the screen cluster. The light is on and there is a very short white line on tank capacity indicator. Am I wrong?
If it was, that shouldn’t have affected the MPG test though?

Maybe but I would think that less weight has an impact.
I have noticed that myself on my 5th gen 4runner
There are other aspects that affect mpg avg like road condition, wind direction, speed, weight, etc.
Hard to figure out.
Notice he said he was driving 90/100 mph and we know that there is a sweet spot speed wise where mpg gets affected negatively Whe driving at high speeds as stated.

I never allow my gas to drop below 1/4 tank. Great way to damage your fuel pump allowing to suck fumes.

Yes! That should be the min.
I have read articles recomending to refill at 1/2 tank just as prevention with the incertaties we see today.
I am used to refill at 1/4 tank but sometimes I do it at 1/2 specially if out traveling out of town.
