Does anyone think that the proposed tariffs will increase the price of the incoming 4Runners? The idea of this has had me hesitant in waiting for the new 4Runner and instead going for the LC now. Has anyone heard anything about this?

I don’t think they will have an immediate impact on pricing. A lot of the tariff talk is a negotiation with other countries to get more favorable trade deals while encouraging manufacturers to bring manufacturing back to the US. I’m also looking to buy the new model next year and am going to roll the dice and wait. Hopefully I won’t regret that decision.

Yeah, I really hope it doesn’t take an immediate effect cause I want to wait for the 4Runner as well. I guess we will see what happens.

It "could" impact any vehicle made/assembled across our borders, but I think it is mostly a threat at this point. The main focus seems to be with China and Mexico so there might be a more likely chance that the Tacoma's could see an impact with the Mexico production. Time will tell!

Yeah I hope it is just a threat. I wasn’t sure if it would affect cars made in Japan as well, since there’s a threat on all foreign produced goods. Like you said, I guess time will tell.

I just posted this in another thread:

https://www.4runner6g.com/forum/threads/2026-4runner-price-cut-possible.1993/

Toyota just released 2025 Tacoma prices and there's negligible changes. Biggest change was actually a $165 drop for the TRD Pro. So this pricing could be an indication of Toyota's outlook on possible tariffs (that they don't think it will come or that they'll be affected by it, at least in 2025).

As for 2025MY 4Runner pricing, since those have been announced, I don't think we'd see a price increase before 2026 4Runner price announcement. It'd be rare to see them increase prices mid model-year

That’s great to know. Thank you for this info!! Hopefully Toyota is taking a preemptive approach.
