Back feat folds flat in 2025 4Runner 6th Gen (Hybrid & Non-Hybrid)

I was looking around to see how flat the second row seats fold flat in the 2025 4Runner. These are some good shots of how flat - in case anyone else was also curious.

Update: added this look at the back seats (second row) folded down in a NON-HYBRID. Notice the cargo floor is lower than the Hybrid model (in post above) because no space taken up by battery.

Note that this is the hybrid, so the trunk is raised. So either the non-hybrid will have a bigger drop, or it is designed a little bit different and we haven't seen it yet.

Do the front seats in the 2025 4Runner fold flat? I haven’t heard nor seen any reviews on that. Would be great though.

nice find! Considering the front of a 4R is supposed to be closer to a Tacoma, I would call this a strong maybe or likihood.

Thanks great find. Although this are manual seats and the 4runner likely has an electric front passenger seat. But yes, it would be great if they would either offer a manual front seat or the electric one folds flat too.

Note the front passenger seat folding flat on the Tacoma is ONLY a single cab thing. I would expect that would not be the case on any 4Runner.

Sadly, yes. It's a feature that costs money, and may not be compatible with power seat either. In a perfect part-bin world, Toyota would include that in some TRD active package.

Kind of hoping those are place holder seats for the 3rd row tumble fuction and the production modles will be flat like previous gens. I get that it's more complcated this time around with the different cargo heights with battery, no battery, and 3rd row options but the completely flat area was so nice for sleeping.

Not a chance, IMO. The Land Cruiser and GX have come with the same fold and tumble style seats.

Not sure if I'm the only picky one on here....
Really hate the two level height back cargo area in any vehicle. My two row 3rd gen Limited, 1996, and 2015 two row trail edition had pull up seat bottoms and fold flat seat backs. Perfect for storage or siding in of longer items if you don't have the need to haul kids!
My 2013 Limited has the third row which although doesn't go completely flat is better than what I've seen of the 6G. Always have my rear seats folded down for storage.
