I’m getting about the same as you. I drive 50 miles a day about 70% Highway. I noticed if I keep it around 70 and baby it i get close to 20. People in Florida are in such a rush so if I do less then 80 people trying to run me over and anything over 80 I’m getting around 17mpgI'm at 900 miles and 17.3 avg... Mostly city. Most highway trips I take end up being 20 mpg or higher, so not sure how the overall avg is so low. Still breaking it in, but was hoping for 20. I find myself spooling the turbo up a lot by accident. It's just way more fun to drive than my lifted 5th gen. Just filled it up with 93 octane yesterday which supposedly gives it a power and efficiency bump. We shall see...
Why are you using 93 octane?I just hit 1k miles, halfway through my first tank of 93 octane and mpg is rising. Sitting at 18.7 currently mixed driving. It actually WENT UP today when I was in bumper to bumper traffic….
Apparently this 4banger and the ECU like 91 and 93. These guys did a bunch of dyno testing on a Tacoma and say it added as much as 20 hp. I’m only 3/4 tank in but not sure if I noticed much yet. My mpg did go up but I’m also still breaking it in.Why are you using 93 octane?
